If you\u2019re already familiar with mixing your own e liquid, you\u2019ll know that there are two types of flavour concentrates in the DIY world: One shot and basic.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

One shot flavour concentrates are blended flavours such as\u00a0Heisenberg<\/a>,\u00a0Goose Juice<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Eclipse<\/a>. These flavour concentrates are designed to be used on their own along with PG, VG and nicotine. Basic flavour concentrates are those designed to be mixed together to create a blended flavour. At ELFC, we did our research and decided to provide FlavourArt concentrates for those wanting to get creative. We were impressed with FlavourArt\u2019s dedication to safety and quality and the cost effectiveness of their concentrates.<\/p>\n

This is a quick guide to mixing with FlavourArt concentrates to create your own e liquid recipes.<\/p>\n


\n\u00a0<\/p>\n

What you need to get started<\/span><\/p>\n

Like all DIY e liquid, you\u2019ll need propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, nicotine concentrate and (obviously) flavour concentrates. If you’re a vaper who only uses max VG or nicotine free e liquid, you won\u2019t need all 4 ingredients. Because there are over 60 basic FlavourArt concentrates available, it\u2019s good to know what kind of flavours you want to create before getting started.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Think about recipes<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve decided on what kind of flavours you\u2019d like to work with, you\u2019ll need to think about your recipes. Our advice is to think about the e liquids you have enjoyed in the past and take inspiration from those. You can also check out our recipes section and try out some of our creations.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

How much flavouring should be used?<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to answer this because some flavours are more potent than others and taste is subjective. What we can say is that FlavourArt concentrates are strong compared with some other brands so our recommended mix percentage is 3-7% (0.3ml-0.7ml per 10ml) of the total e liquid mix.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Doing the calculations<\/span><\/p>\n

As well as your 3-7% flavour recipe, you\u2019ll need to decide what PG\/VG ratio and nicotine strength you want. Then you can use our\u00a0DIY calculator<\/a>\u00a0to come up with the overall e liquid recipe. Our DIY calculator allows you to input 7 different flavour concentrates.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

What about steeping?<\/span><\/p>\n

Steeping is when a freshly mixed e liquid is left to sit for a period of time to allow the flavour to develop and mature. Our recommendation when using FlavourArt concentrates is to shake the e liquid bottle well after mixing, then letting it steep for 1-2 weeks. However, if you are using the custard flavour concentrate in your mix, the steep time can be up to 4 weeks.<\/p>\n

Remember, there is often some trial and error involved when creating e liquid flavours, so it is advisable that you make small batches when first testing out a flavour.
