Best E-Liquid – Health Concerns

[ad_1]

Are there risks with E-Liquids ?

The best e-liquid should not just offer the best taste but should be made with high-quality pharma grade ingredients and be prepared in suitable laboratories. After all we are going to inhale the vapour produced from the e liquid. The vast majority of e-liquid available fall short. The vaper should be made fully aware of what they are consuming including a detailed breakdown of all ingredients of the e-liquid. Gourmet e-liquid! Vaping is the modern alternative to smoking and the main focus for this transition is based on health and fitness. There are many reports available that indicate that there is a big difference between the ingredients used by e-liquid manufacturers. That some ingredients contained in some e-liquids are seen as potentially dangerous.

Best e liquid? Pure vg e liquid ingredients exposed, not gourmet e-juice!

There is also a great variation in potential toxicity between e liquid manufacturers because of: variations in ingredients, construction of e-cig devices and variation in using or not using quality control and good manufacturing practices.

Get The Best E-Liquid

In an unregulated environment it is our responsibility to ensure the e-liquids we vape are as safe as possible. Ensure you buy only the best e liquid, properly manufactured with proper known ingredients. Do not accept a manufacturer’s claim that terms such as “vegetable flavouring” means their e-liquid is safe. Go to any online e liquid shop and see if you can find information on the exact ingredients of the e-liquid you are buying. The vast majority tell you a great deal about flavour, strength and cost and perhaps some very basic ingredient information but lack any great detail of what it is you are about to put into your body! WHY?

There are many different nicotine replacement methods, gums, nasal sprays, inhalers and all of them contain pharmaceutical grade ingredients and are made in medical laboratoriesexcept e-liquids.

There are DIFFERENCES between e-liquids. Choose only tested pure e-liquids from reputable companies that test and publish their ingredients. Ensure they use proper laboratories. See our best e-liquids. Become an e liquid epicure. You do have a choice!

Below are extracts from 3 reports that you should read!

1. KARGER Medical Publishers Dec 2013

Contamination by various compounds of e-fluids due to poor quality control and lack of external custody is bound to be common due to the present legal status of these products.

Electronic cigarettes incorporate aromatic substances imitating tobacco (pure or mentholated), fruit, vanilla, caramel and coffee, among others. Their nature is generally not specified other than in imprecise terms like ‘vegetable flavoring’,

… some artificial flavorings have been shown to be cytotoxic.

[Cytotoxicity is the quality of being toxic to cells. (Wiki definition)]

From a study of 9 e-liquids:…Some samples contain the toxic diethyleneglycol.

2. International Journal of Environmental Research and Public health

Carbonyl Compounds Generated from Electronic Cigarettes

Many toxic chemical compounds have been produced from e-cigarettes, especially carbonyl compounds like formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein, and glyoxal, which are frequently identified in e-cigarette aerosols. These materials may cause harmful health effects; though, in the majority of cases, the amounts inhaled are less than those in traditional cigarettes. The toxicity of e-cigarettes and e-liquid can vary greatly, as there is potential differences in construction and materials in the delivery device, kind and origin of ingredients in the e-liquid, and the use or non-use of good manufacturing practices and quality control approaches. Ref: SEE Below

Therefore, continuous careful monitoring and risk management of e-cigarettes should be implemented, with the aim of protecting and promoting public health worldwide. Moreover, basic scientific data are required for the regulation of e-cigarette. To date, there have been reports of many hazardous chemical compounds generated from e-cigarettes, particularly carbonyl compounds such as formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein, and glyoxal, which are often found in e-cigarette aerosols. These carbonyl compounds are incidentally generated by the oxidation of e-liquid (liquid in e-cigarette; glycerol and glycols) when the liquid comes in contact with the heated nichrome wire

3. Tobacco Control

Electronic Cigarettes in the USA

Standards for ingredients, such as flavours and other additives in e-liquid production and the implementation of good manufacturing processes have the potential to improve this class of consumer products.

  • This review highlights the lack of publicly available high-quality scientific data on e-cigarettes marketed in the USA.

  • Very few commercially marketed e-cigarettes have undergone a thorough toxicology evaluation.

  • Currently, standardised testing paradigms for evaluating the e-cigarette toxicity across brands and in comparison to other tobacco products do not exist.

  • There is no scientific consensus on the appropriate datasets (eg, chemical lists, toxicants and biomarkers of exposure) and testing paradigms (eg, e-cigarette aerosol production) for use in comparing e-cigarettes with cigarettes, other tobacco products, or nicotine replacement products.

Note some users of e-liquids are sensitive to PG based e-liquids, it is essential for these users to vape using pure 100% VG e-liquid – see our 100% VG e-liquid range.
